It's official, these days we are no longer wedded to the nearest mains power socket. Isn't it amazing the way battery life has just grown and grown?
I can remember my first mobile phone, way back in the early 90s. It was the size of a brick, came with a special bag to carry it in, and if you had any kind of decent conversation on it, it had to spend the rest of the day on charge.
These days even a laptop can give you hours of disconnected connectivity, allowing you to surf constantly as you blithely wander about the city or chill out in a meadow somewhere. Ah, the freedom!
Of course we're all drawn back to the mains at some point, the batteries, however long-lasting still need a recharge eventually. That's why I like the Uvee. Not only does it look like a rather cool flip-phone, but it'll give you a whole load more extra freedom from those pesky mains sockets.
You can charge it up from the mains, from your car or even by the Power of the Sun! Then just as the little battery icon is flickering on your phone or ipod, whip out the Uvee, and give yourself some more charge. Bingo, another step towards emancipation from the National Grid.
